Webflow

I simply love Webflow! Why didn’t I use it sooner? I designed this entire website with Webflow. You can design a website without code but still have the freedom to customize it the way you want. Plus, Webflow’s help tutorials are phenomenal!

‍Hostinger

Hostinger is my choice when it comes to web hosting. Not only are its servers one of the most fastest and reliable, their customer support is world class.

Drip

For email marketing, I’ve been using Drip since 2018. They are one of the more advanced platforms so if you’re starting out, I recommend ConvertKit instead as the interface is easier to use and includes a landing page builder. ConvertKit is also free for the first 1000 subscribers you build.

ThriveCart

To host my online courses, I use Thinkific. No need to mess around with code or plugins. Simply drag and drop your course material, setup your prices, landing page, and you’re done. It’s free for the first course you host and you can have unlimited students. Try Thinkific here.

ConvertBox

Used for popups, alert bars, and opt-in forms. I joined as a lifetime member when they first launched and appreciate the updates the team at ConvertBox are making.

Koji

Koji allows you to create a “link in bio” page for social media. What’s great is you can add on things like tip jars, sell digital products, offer requests, and more. Check out my Koji link in bio here.

Rebrandly

To shorten and have brand links, I use Rebrandly. So instead of a long URL like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/search?ie=UTF8&tag=aureliustjin-20&linkCode=ur2&linkId=659326284ea49ec49eef96bd4b743588, I can shorten it to something like this https://aurelius.link/sony

Notion

I organize all my notes, projects, content calendars, goals, reading lists, and ideas on Notion.

‍Things

For to-do’s and task management, I use Things as it’s minimal, intuitive and works on all my Apple devices.

‍Google Drive

‍My team and I use Google Drive to store, sync, and backup our files.

Day One

For journaling and reflecting. Recently I started a journaling habit which I’ve found to help with starting the day positively and ending the day with reflection. Specifically, I use the 5-minute journaling template that Day One provides. Here’s a video on how I use it.

Canva

I use Canva to design almost everything from ebooks and guides to social media graphics, it’s all done on Canva.

Designrr

An easy to use eBook maker with dozens of eBook templates to choose from. Watch my tutorial and check out the bonus I’m offering in the description of the video.

Adobe Creative Cloud

Out of all the Adobe apps, I use Photoshop (graphics editing), Lightroom (photo enhancement), and Premier Pro (video editing). Most of my YouTube Thumbnails are designed in Photoshop.

Flaticon

Where I get all my icons for use on thumbnails, videos and other assets. I have a paid plan with them so no crediting is required.

Unsplash

For stock photos and Coverr for stock videos.

CAMERA AND LENS

2022 - Present

Sony A7 IV (body only) and Sony 24mm f/1.4 lens GM. This combo will set you back about $3200 USD. This was my main camera gear from September 2022 to present.

2021-2022 SETUP

‍Sony A7C (body only) and Sony 24mm f/1.4 lens GM. This combo will set you back about $3200 USD. This was my main camera gear from September 2022 to present.

2020-2021 SETUP

SCanon M50 (body only) and Sigma 16mm f/1.4. This combo will set you back about $3200 USD. This was my main camera gear from September 2022 to present.

OTHER

Godox SL60W – The main light I use.

Falcon Eyes SO-28TD – Used as a fill light.

Aputure Light Dome II – A 35″ (88cm) Soft box that attaches to the key light.

Manfrotto 190XV – The tripod I use.

Atomos Ninja V – An external monitor and recorder. It records directly to an SSDmini. I use the one from Angelbird. ‍

AUDIO

‍‍RODE Procaster

The main microphone I use for screen recordings.

RODE NTG5

For videos where I’m not showing my screen, I have the RODE NTG5 above and out of frame which connects via XLR to a Zoom H5 audio recorder. I find audio to be higher quality recording on an external record like the Zoom H5.

From the RODE NTG5, I record directly into the Zoom H5.

Focusrite Scarlett Solo USB interface

To connect the RODE Procaster to your computer, you need a USB interface like this. The link is for the latest model as I have an older model.

Rode Wireless GO II

Whenever I need to record a video where I’m not always stationary at my desk, I connect this to my camera. Most suitable if you’re doing something like moving around the room or vlogging hence the name “Wireless GO”. I also connect a Rode Lavalier mic to the Wireless GO II receiver for better quality audio. ‍

VIDEO EDITING

Screenflow

For screen tutorials, Screenflow has been my go-to app for many years. Although it is a MacOS-only app, you can use other tools such as Camtasia or Loom. ‍

Adobe Premiere Pro

Talking head videos are edited, color corrected, and graded in Premier Pro.

InShot

For editing on mobile, I use InShot. It’s mainly used for short form videos such as IG Reels and TikToks.

Epidemic Sound

For background music and sound effects, I always turn to Epidemic Sound first.

Rev

Video captioning and subtitling service.
